A slowish burn

Mark 4:28 “For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head”

Line upon line
Faith upon faith
We are transformed
Grace upon grace.

By faith and patience
We inherit
Promises given
Gradually cherished.

First the seed
Then the stem
His Word & Spirit
Fills the head.

A slowish burn
From the Seed
And soiled turned.

My reading here. 30 seconds…

Cause and effect

The Christian life is not robotic
The Kingdom of God is very organic.

It is not “do this and you will get that”
But a Seed of life on His welcome mat.

It’s not “do good and you’ll get good”
But feeding from Jesus the heavenly food.

It’s not “do bad and you’ll get bad”
But hearing the warnings from His red flags.

It’s not by principles or law based keeping
but letting seed grow, while you are sleeping.

We’re not asking God to create the external
For we already have what we need internal.

It’s not a structure you build so well
but a tree that grows; cell by cell.

It’s not that you know each chapter and verse
But an agreeing heart to His voice you’ve heard

It’s not a formula that you can do
But agreement to the Life inside of you.

The Kingdom of God is not for mechanics
But tillers of soil who love organics.

The Kingdom of God is not cause and effect
But seed and harvest for God’s elect.

From a little grows a lot

A garden, a tree and one law
A whisper
A temptation
From a little grows a lot.

Five loaves, two fish and one boy
Feed five thousand
Twelve baskets remain
From a little grows a lot.

Seven loaves and a few disciples
Feed four thousand
Seven baskets remain
From a a little grows a lot.

A believer, a few of his friends
Bread from a basket, a coffee
Shares, inspires, informs, imparts
From a little grows a lot.

A harvest of grain
First the blade, then the kernel
Then the kernel becomes complete
From a little grows a lot.

John, Herod, a wife and a daughter
A rebuke then a dance
A platter
From a little grows a lot.

An eye that sees
An ear that hears
A mind that remembers
From a little grows a lot.

The Father, the Covenant and the Son
The Seed dies in the ground
Becomes The Life
From a little grows a lot.

Three thousand people in Jerusalem
Believing hearts
Birth of the church
From a little grows a lot.

A throne, a sanctuary,
Blood sprinkled
A full house
From a little grows a lot.

Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?” They said to Him, “Twelve.” “Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they said, “Seven.” So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?” (‭Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭18-21‬ NKJV)

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.” (‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭30-32‬ NKJV)

Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. (‭Luke‬ ‭14‬:‭23‬ NKJV)

The Seed

The seed is the promise of itself
The proof of it’s life in the future,
Unprovoked and unforced
Always promising then delivering
Never compromising then producing,
Guaranteed to work
Guaranteed reproduce itself
Of its own kind.

Wait !
What’s that ?
Unbelief ?
Oh no !.
Incorrect condition
Incorrect soil
Not the fault of the seed !.

Go away vultures !.

And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. (‭Genesis‬ ‭15‬:‭11‬ NKJV)

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (‭I Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭23-25‬ NKJV)

Too small for our need

A God who answered every question
Would not leave us room for faith,
A God whose salvation was left at confession
Would not let us taste His grace.

A God who ignores the wisdom of time
Would never have sent Divine Seed,
A God small enough for our mind
Would be too small for our need.

Note : “Salvation” here does not mean salvation of the spirit, but mind, will and emotions: the soul which is continually being saved.
