The burden of the LORD

He thinks about His purpose
And why he’s on the Earth:
To partner with the load,
The burden of the LORD.

Crying out in prayer
Requesting God for more,
To know the mind of Christ:
The Burden of the LORD.

The tears of God start flowing
With his in one accord
Sharing in the weight:
The burden of the LORD.

Looking through God’s eyes
And thinking like God’s thoughts
Experiencing His yoke:
The burden of The Lord.

This yoke fits him well
Like soldiers set for war
Makes the essence light,
The burden of the LORD.

The load at first was heavy
Different walk and talk
Adjusting to the charge:
The burden of the LORD.

With acts and words of power
He declares the mind of God
His mouth with heaven’s breath,
The burden of the LORD.

“And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of the Lord?…Jeremiah‬ ‭23:33 ‭KJV‬‬

False prophets were prophesying to God’s people in that day. They were false prophecies. God was angry with these false prophets because they were declaring the weight or burden of God’s mind that was false. Many translations use the word “oracle”. The “burden of the LORD” is the weight, the tears, the concerns, the view and opinion of God. It is feeling what He feels. God does not want us to declare the Kingdom of God from a cold and detached place, but from a unity and relationship with Him.

The “burden of the LORD” is for those mature believers who want God to be declared or prophecied accurately, and in a way that pleases Him. It is for those who cry out to Him in prayer with humility, and who ask that God would share His “burden” with that believer. This brings a weight to that believer who must adjust his actions accordingly: like a weight added to a racehorse that buckles at first, but then strengthens its legs and changes its walk as it adjusts to the new weight. But it is a yoke that fits personally, for God only gives a portion of His weight that we can handle, and that suits us. The result is that the believer has a different walk, a different talk, and the “burden of the LORD” that is now shared between the LORD and the believer, is declared accurately.
