So we are good by nature

“The golden age, we’ll then revive, each man shall be a brother,
In harmony we all shall live and till the earth together,
In virtue trained, enlightened youth shall move each fellow creature,
And time shall surely prove the truth that man is good by nature.”

Scottish poet, Robert Burns

So we are good by nature
Is each person’s unique feature.

But this is not reflected
In life that has selected
Facts that defy all logic
How things have become tragic.

We’re swimming in the clouds
Not standing on the ground
If we truly think
That there is no link
Between relativist fruit
Wearing individual suits
And the acid rain
Burning deep Earth’s pain.
