The investor decides to buy more shares
The profit he’ll make with fix his cares
And change his world for ever and ever
Buying this stock will prove him clever.

The investor decides to sell more shares
The profit he makes will fix his cares
And change his world forever and ever
Selling this stock will prove him clever.

“One person sells some shares. Another buys those shares, and they both think they are astute”.

In love with love

To be in love with love
Is to be in hate with hate.

To be at peace with peace
Is to be joyful about joy.

To be right about righteousness
Let’s you condemn condemnation.

To be a son of the Son
Identifies you with His identity.

A fork in the road

I went for a walk
in Balquidderock wood
To a fork in the road
But which one was good ?.

Paralyzed by fear
Unsure where to go
Where is the ease ?
Where is the flow ?.

The one that seems easy
may be deceptive
what floods the brain
are thoughts so eclectic.

I take the first step
ahh !…that’s OK
Green light in my spirit
I’m on the right way.

Broken wings
Broken wings
Whatever is your stock ?
Even though you are a bird
You’re still made in a clock.

Leopard King
In leopard skin
Can you change your spots ?
Without a change of nature
You’re stuck with what you’ve got.

Q. Can a leopard change it’s spots
A. Depends which Kingdom it is from.

“Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots “.(‭Jeremiah‬ ‭13‬:‭23‬)

Oil and water

Oil and water can never mix
Old covenant and new covenant
Moses and Jesus
Sinai and Zion
Stone and flesh
Can never mesh.

Oil and vinegar shaken
Seems to produce reward for the effort
In the shaking, in the stirring.
But in a short while
The separation begins.
Got to keep shaking,
Got to maintain effort,
Brings frustration.

Law and grace
Cannot be mingled
Cannot become one
Cannot produce life
A barren marriage going through the motions
Nae children.

Water turns into wine
New wine
All the work done by Jesus
Oil and wine can never mix
Why would you want to ?.

Abram’s tithe

Our Earthly father Abraham
Tenth from Noah
Tenth from the covenant of mercy
Given victory over nine kings
But met by the tenth King,

King of Righteousness
King of Peace
From the Heavenly Jerusalem,
Everlasting Priest,
Blesses Abram
With bread and cup
Sharing of life
Sharing of covenant
Before the covenant
Participation in Kingdom
Keys to the gates of enemies
Keys to the heavenly Kingdom.

Abraham the man of faith, altar and worship
Abraham the steward of blessing
Responds to the tenth King,
Gives a tenth of his blessing
Reveals the appreciative heart
Aware of His source.

Levi, a son of Abraham
Levi in the loins of Abraham
Worships the forever Priest
Gives to the endless One
Gives a tenth of his blessing
Reveals the thankful heart
Aware of his source.

A true sharing of life
Of faith, altar and worship.

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all. (‭Genesis‬ ‭14‬:‭18-20‬ NKJV)

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭1-10‬ NKJV)

The sweaty preacher
shouts to the church,
“Revival is what
we need at first,
When the Spirit comes
all will be well,
So we can all
come out of our shell.

We need to pray harder
to ‘send the rain’
To put out the fire
and all the world’s pain,
‘Revival’ ! ‘revival’ !
Is what we need”,
While the Lord’s sheep
Graze chicken feed.

But the Lord’s revival
Is not what they think
It’s not a revival of
Pentecostal spirit,
Understand covenant
As shown in the bible
Then you will grasp
The Lord’s revival.

It’s all about Israel
And their unbelief,
that their hedges were broken
By Gentile beasts,
And the cry to restore
By those of belief:
Those of the remnant
Who didn’t bow their knee.

But the God of covenant
Answered their prayer,
In a different way
Most don’t seem aware,
Now all are welcome
Through Jesus’s blood,
The revival arrived
By the Kingdom of God.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth! Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, Stir up Your strength, And come and save us! Restore us, O God; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! O LORD God of hosts, How long will You be angry Against the prayer of Your people? You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in great measure. You have made us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves. Restore us, O God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and planted it. You prepared room for it, And caused it to take deep root, And it filled the land. The hills were covered with its shadow, And the mighty cedars with its boughs. She sent out her boughs to the Sea, And her branches to the River. Why have You broken down her hedges, So that all who pass by the way pluck her fruit? The boar out of the woods uproots it, And the wild beast of the field devours it. Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! (‭Psalms‬ ‭80‬:‭1-19‬ NKJV) [written by Asaph]

As He says also in Hosea: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved.” “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There they shall be called sons of the living God.” Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved. For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, Because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth.” (‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭25-28‬ NKJV)

For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, (‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭16-17‬ NKJV)

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ NKJV)

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (‭Romans‬ ‭14‬:‭17‬ NKJV)

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭20-21‬ NKJV)

Covenant name, covenant breath

You can download or listen to my reading of this poem here.. (1.15 mins long. 1.2mb)

Covenant made with Abram
The God from heaven came,
Between the covenant pieces
Then God shared His name.

The letter “h” given
Signifies His breath
Freely shared by God
At the covenant death.

He always shares His life
For those who will receive
A mingling of two lives
For those who will believe.

For there’s a sharing of names
When covenants are pledged
They’re not mere empty words
To promises that are said.

God didn’t just breath on Abram
For he had a covenant wife
He also gave Sarai his “h”
To share in covenant life.

So Abraham and Sarah
Shared their name with God
The breath of lives mingled
With the covenant blood.

The mirrored Loch

In the retired highlands where the soil lies fallow
And stone buildings guard cobbled streets winding narrow
Where the shining loch reflects mountains and sky
And the burns on the carse never seems to run dry.

You can’t help but ask “why did God come to us” ?
To pay for our seat on His redemption bus
And “why keep building our Babylon towers” ?
Given the size of His creator powers.

And how can a God of His power and size
Include me in the intimacy prize ?.
If He can make this then why reach for me
And bring me into His Kingdom team ?.

The sun is now gone, and yet it’s still here
Shining through stars In the Zodiac clear
The mirrored loch reflects His nature that weaves
His tapestry of love which will never leave.

A week away to recharge on Loch Awe, in Argyll, Western Highlands, Scotland.

“Burn” is a Scottish creek, or stream. Here, it is melted snow. The sound is river music.

“Carse” is a Scottish word for river bank

Ever been to a loch that is so still, it looks like one large mirror ?.

In awe at Loch Awe

In awe at Loch Awe
Different shades of sunset blue, kiss
Different shades of sunset orange
Needled in between the strip of pillowed cloud
Puffed into shape by the Westen Highland air
Hovering beside the mountains
Acting as guardian to the loch.

The chameleon
Changes its look every 10 minutes
Titlating the eyes
Teasing the emotions
This old mother
Showing off like a child saying “look at me” !.

Clan Campbell territory
Provides the ghostly voice, and asks
“Please take care of our home,
You come with your expectation,
But be warned…
You will never leave”…

The loch has had the final say
This Jacobite has won,
Forever in the memory.
