The unseen to the seen

The fresh snow air
Blows across her face,
Reveals her silken heart
Established in His grace,
Dressed in royal purple
Worthy of a queen
Revealing inner beauty
The unseen to the seen.

Comparison blindness

The scourge of comparison blindness
Wears the darkest glasses
Obtusively providing bias
Fertilising each crises.

The joy of the sober minded
Is that they are always reminded
Of the Grace that has them grounded
Not comparison to keep them clouded.

While one should not think highly
One should see self kindly
And not judge self too lightly
Temperance is seeing things rightly.

The scourge of comparison blindness
Is cured by Father’s kindness
Knowing you’re made in His likeness
And knowing that you are righteous.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ NKJV)

Love and logic

A message from the broken hearted
A truth that they all want imparted.

The couplet that makes life melodic
The combination of love and logic.

Love is All but has no value
While brain paths are remaining fallow.

For there the memories are deranged
And neurons need to be exchanged.

For painful hurts have done their printing
On the brain needing change of thinking.

If you’re seeking biblical proof…
Love came down in Grace and Truth.

So helping those in need of courage
Take your love out of it’s storage.

Give it so they mix and find
Healing comes from Love and mind.

This is the real Scotland

Highland mountains covered in snow
Lochs into the North Sea flows
The heather in the glen just grows
This is the real Scotland.

Eastern Greenock’s murder rate stars
Edinburgh tourist shops seem so far
What we were is what we are.
This is the real Scotland.

The gospel of grace generously spread
Humble hearts are Spirit led
The life of Christ comes to the dead
This is the real Scotland.

God’s bag of sugar

God’s bag of sugar
Burst over the Northern sky
The sweet scent of the stars are pleasant to the eyes.

The limiltless strength of the belt of Orion
Three stars in one belt,
That only God can bind
Bring wonder to the limited soul
Points to…

The clustered jewels of Pleades
Has strength in numbers
Like God’s people are bound to each other
And to Him,
Only a powered God can bind such beauty.

The Major Bear cares for the Minor Bear
Father God growls to the enemies of His Cubs,
Sharing life at His own expense.

The Milky band
The covering
Wraps its arms around the globe
Never ends
Each named part never fails, ever
Seen by those who search.

The North Star is unmoved
An absolute
Never changes
Everything else revolving around it
For all to see
For all who want to see.

Have you tasted God’s bag of sugar ?.
It is very sweet.

“Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the belt of Orion? Can you bring out Mazzaroth (Zodiac) in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth? (North Star) (‭Job‬ ‭38‬:‭31-33‬ NKJV)

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭16-18‬ NKJV)

He alone spreads the heavens, And treads on the waves of the sea; He made the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south; He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number. If He goes by me, I do not see Him; If He moves past, I do not perceive Him; If He takes away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him, ‘What are You doing?’ (‭Job‬ ‭9‬:‭8-12‬ NKJV)

He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning And makes the day dark as night; He calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth; The LORD is His name. (‭Amos‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ NKJV)

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.

Milky WayTheir line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun…Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end; And there is nothing hidden from its heat. (‭Psalms‬ ‭19‬:‭1-2, 4, 6‬ NKJV)

O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!…When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? (‭Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭1, 3-4‬ NKJV)

There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭40-44‬ NKJV)

“To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing. Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God”? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭25-29‬ NKJV)

because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭19-21‬ NKJV)

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty…And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; (‭II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭16, 19‬ NKJV)

“Mazzaroth” is the Hebrew word for “Zodiac”. It’s root word is “nazzar” which means “set apart for sacred purposes”, or “Consecrate”.

“Pleades” means “jewel”

The North Star is at the tip of the tail of Ursa Minor, or the “baby bear”. It never moves, all other constellations revolve around it (from the Earth’s point of view).

Isaiah 40 “not one faileth”, or “not one is missing”. Gravity holds stars together. If there was no gravitational pull, the stars would “explode”. The whole balance of our universe would be a mess of moving objects, and unable to sustain life if “one was missing”, or if the stars “failed”. (Colossians 1:17 “all things hold together in Him”)

My Southern Hemisphere daughter, my wife and I searched the Scottish January sky. Nae clouds, only snow on the ground. 2:00 pm in the morning. Memories for a life time. Spiritual experience with the constellations as host. “Our God is an awesome God”.

Always be

The airport exit door takes my little girl,
To transfer her soul to other side of to the world,
I hope she can’t see my tear filled eyes,
Because she will always be that little girl of mine.

It’s been great having you Stace !. You certainly know how to suck the marrow out of life until it runs down your chin !.

See you soon…

Scottish teeth, Aussie teeth

Scottish lips
Scottish teeth
How do you eat your haggis ?,
With sheep lungs and tatties
And wee bit o’ Dundee lettuce.

Aussie lips
Aussie teeth
How do you eat your barbie ?
Burn the steak on both sides
For the backyard cricket army.

Scottish lips
Scottish mouths
How do you drink your whiskey ?
As quick as a highland deer can run
So you’re dead by fifty.

Aussie lips
Aussie mouths
How do you drink your beer ?
With pickled livers and pretzels
Without any salt or fear.

I saw a funny man…

I saw a funny man
Who wore funny clothes
Had a hole in his jacket
And three holes in his nose.

What a funny nose ring
From it hung a feather
I hope it kept him warm
In the frosty weather.

I saw a funny women
A cow she tried to throttle
Coz she blamed the cow
That milk came out in bottles.

I saw a funny granma
Couldn’t see the lake
She tried to shake hands
With the toilet snake.

She left the window open
Like a carefree granny
The wind blew up her clothes
In every nook and cranny.

I saw a funny grandpa
Couldn’t hear a thing
Sounded like a moose
When he tried to sing.

He tended to his plants
In the middle of his garden
A truck then blew it’s horn
He said “I beg your pardon”.

It shows that he could hear
Not deaf after all
Just didn’t want to answer
When his name you call.

I saw a funny teenager
Walked backwards in his sleep
Then he walked sideways
When he counted sheep.

So lets just keep on smiling
You need it for survival
A keen sense of humour
Puts hair on your eye ball.
