Emotions must fall into line
With all the straight heart will believe,
Patience works it’s way in time
Feeling what has been received.

The bluff and lies of satan’s breath
Contradict the Holy Spirit
And bring the nose a smell of death
Preventing those who want to live it.

The Kingdom now is deep within
Experienced through our lenses
For focus and belief are twins
In training up our senses.

Then feelings after all agree
With faith known at the start
Aligned emotions and the seen
From the grateful heart.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3-5‬ NKJV)

And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. (‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭15-17‬ NKJV)

Feelings of unbelief lie to is. If we have a heart of hope, eventually, our senses align to the truth. A heart of hope is a straight or believing heart that continues in hope despite the lying feelings. Eventually, the senses feel what the heart believes. We can have a heart of hope despite the feelings because God’s love means His best will be manifested in our lives in the end; as He defines it. This is it what it means to “train our senses”, or have our “senses exercised”…

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬ NKJV)

One more thing…maturity is not head knowledge, but a person who trains their senses to recognise when a thought or emotion and feeling is contrary to the Word of truth sown in their heart.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”
Is “comforting” judgement and foresight
Given by a world and a kingdom
That has poor judgment and little foresight.

Is that the best it has to offer ?.

Love bought at inflationary prices
Hope based in self strength
Faith based on wishful happenstance
Back to front
inverted sight.

Unbelief is a belief
a system of believing
a deception of seeing…
there is no vacuum of faith.

Strength is not won in adversity
Courage is not bought from opposition
Cogency is not gleaned from obstruction…
In the long term.

Abiding in Christ
Fellowship with His Spirit
Intimacy with the Heavenly Husband
Focussing on Strength Himself
Partaking of the gifted Divine Courage
Believing the Grace received
Is what “makes you stronger”.

Easier !.

The wisest leader

People follow the person first
Followed by their message,
The wisest leader knows the truth
That gives them greatest leverage.

Yet the greatest leader in history showed
The message makes the man,
And helping all in love and grace
Will gather every clan.

I used to believe that a person’s message was the main thing. I used to see that all leaders were fallible and therefore, it is best to glean the best part of people’s message whilst not being influenced by the person. However, I now realise this is a minority thinking; most people follow the person first…their message is secondary. If you seek maximum influence, your contact with people should be peppered with love and grace. Your conversation should be “seasoned with salt”. Once you have their attention red carpetted by love, only then will they listen to your message.
