Anointed to belong

We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love. (Ephesians 4:16 MSG)

from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:16 NKJV)

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. (I John 2:19, 20 NKJV)

What every joint supplies
Both significant and insignificant
Both esteemed and not respected
Both seen and hidden
Is part of the whole…

The whole body
of the One who sources it’s life

This sea of people
With a swell of its own momentum
Flows into each other
Grows into each other
Always works.

Anointed to belong to each other
Anointed to anoint each other
With a flow of life
A flow of power
A flow of grace from member to member.

Only those who see the Kingdom
Only those who enter the kingdom
Only those whose heart is common with the members
To know the King
Are invited to belong.

You are invited.

Free to make the choice

“knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.” (Romans 6:6, 7, 14, 16-19, 22 NKJV)

The unregenerated man lives in a sealed bag
Wrapped with invisible chains around his heart and mind
Unable to do his own will.

A slave to lack of choice
A prisoner to his own military nature
Unable to taste the life he craves.

The regenerated man feels free
To be a slave of righteousness and life
Free to make the choice.

Dead to a nature that killed his freedom
It was living death
Now a slave to life !.

What is true freedom ?.

Freedom to choose, is the freedom to lose
Your path that leads to death,
Liberty given, escaping the prison
the cell that God calls “the flesh”.

To choose to be free, is not to agree
To the “I know what’s best for me” lie,
There’s a better way, for freedom’s displayed
When you’re free to live the Vine life.

Freedom is not the ability to do our thing, for that leads to our own death. True freedom is the ability to choose the Life of Christ (the Vine Life).
