The longing soul craves deep within
For answers that remove the sting
Of needing drink more and more
While sick of the scream that’s from your core.
The freedom to do what you want
Has proved to be a deadly stunt
For in the guise of taking control
You merely traded your innocent soul.
It cost you much to define true freedom
To see the prison and how it cheats them
From choosing the Spirit or choosing the flesh
Who really gives life and who gives death.
Choosing life is freedom’s cry
Freeing from death’s clutching sighs
The hunger and thirst for more and more
Are answered ably at Freedom’s door.
